Client: SpotDif

Target Audience: UK homeowners

Year: 2024

The client runs a price comparison website focused on home improvements and mobility aids (hearing aids, mobility furniture).

The brief was to provide daily emails that included references to world news or trending topics, and would get clicks on the links included. I went about this by creating a content calendar that included any known forthcoming ‘day of…’ or public holidays. I then wrote the emails several weeks in advance, giving time to make last minute alterations in response to unexpected events and news.

As well as writing and scheduling the emails, I supported the client in their deliverability efforts by cleaning the list and segmenting their audiences. I made sure they met best anti-spam practices by adding an ‘unsubscribe’ link at the top of every email.

Client: Nature based wellbeing coach

Target Audience: Women who feel an innate connection with nature, but who feel out of place in a money-driven, materialistic world.

The brief for this work included creating a landing page for the client’s healing studio, a welcome email sequence, and an ongoing series of regular emails. The emails were briefed to be friendly, personal, and focused around providing free value, with the back end goal of increasing sign ups to the client’s paid coaching programs.

I used the kick off call to learn about the client’s writing style and colloquialisms, which I integrated into the regular emails. I researched into the practices relevant to her client base, so that I could come to the client catch-up meetings ready with ideas and solutions for the next month’s strategy and copy. I also created a re-engagement email as her list had been unused for several months, and this was part of best practice to avoid her being labelled as spam by surprised recipients.
